Jon Pasko of Poland is a member of the Kilhefner Hall Council at Ashland. He is the son of Gerald and Charlene Pasko and is majoring in accounting. The purpose of hall council at Ashland is to discuss policies within the individual residence halls and to sponsor educational and social events for residents.

SAINT VINCENT COLLEGE, LATROBE, PA.

Ashley N. Nord, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Richard Nord of Canfield, will perform in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” on Nov. 29, Nov. 30 and Dec. 2 in the Robert S. Carey Performing Arts Center. The senior biology major is a 2004 graduate of Canfield High School and a member of The Company, the college’s student-run theater group. The shows, at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 29 and 30 and 1 p.m. Dec. 2, are free and open to the public.

OHIO UNIVERSITY, ATHENS

Jason Wilhelm of Canfield is one of 12 Ohio University students selected to be featured in the school’s first large-scale marketing campaign. The students are dubbed as “the promise of Ohio University,” a designation Wilhelm said signifies the commitment of the students to the university and the university to its students. Wilhelm is an astrophysics major and Goldwater Scholar and a graduate of Canfield High School. He will be featured in one of three commercials in “The Promise” campaign. He studied asteroids at the MDM Observatory at Kitt’s Peak in Tucson, Ariz., spent a year studying abroad in China and participated in two summer research projects in Germany and Taiwan.
