Man’s death probed
PULASKI, Pa. — Autopsy results are pending for a man found dead in Lawrence County after being reported missing from a Youngstown group home. Northwest Regional Police Chief Jim Morris said there were no apparent signs of foul play when they found 81-year-old William Grager, who was reported missing at 2 p.m. last Friday from the Wickview Boarding Home on Illinois Avenue, a group home for people with mental health disabilities. Grager had left the home for a usual morning walk around 10 a.m. Friday, but staff became concerned when he did not return and called police. A man walking his dog at 2 p.m. Saturday found Grager over an embankment near the intersection of Pa. Route 551 and U.S. Route 422 in Mahoning Township, Lawrence County. “We have no idea why he was there other than we were told he had a tendency to hitchhike or wander,” Morris said.
Temporary closing
HUBBARD — State Route 7 between U.S. Route 62 and state Route 82 will be closed through Saturday for a culvert replacement. The exact location of the closure is just north of Route 62. Motorists will be detoured to Route 62 to Route 82. The work began Thursday.
Boil-water warning
LORDSTOWN — Residents on New, Imperial and Locust drives, along with the two homes on Hallock-Young Road within Imperial Communities, are under a boil warning until 1 p.m. Saturday. Any water used for drinking or cooking must be boiled for at least three minutes. Lordstown Water Department is performing necessary repairs on a master meter within Imperial Communities.
Sewer line replacement
YOUNGSTOWN — South Phelps Street will remain closed indefinitely between West Federal and West Front streets while street crews investigate the scope of a sewer line collapse there.
“It’s an old brick sewer built in the 1900s,” said Deputy Director of Public Works Carmen Conglose. “They have a tendency, when you open them up, to kind of collapse like dominos.”
City workers discovered a small damaged portion in the line during a cleaning project about two weeks ago, said Conglose. The department is using a camera to survey the damage, before replacing the line with modern materials. A connected waterline is also in need of replacement, he said.
Boardman Street remains open to traffic, but the road may need to be closed for short periods over the next several days, Conglose said.
Sportsmen’s meeting
GROVE CITY, Pa. — A sportsmen’s town hall meeting will be 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Grove City Sportsman Club, 257 Centertown Road, called by U.S. Rep. Phil English of Erie, R-3rd.
English will be joined by guest Chris Cox, executive director of the NRA Institute for Legislative Action.
“Whether it is blocking assaults on Pennsylvania’s hunting heritage or working to track down funding for fish and wildlife, I am committed to making sure the concerns of local sportsmen are addressed in Washington,” said English, a member of the Congressional Sportsman Caucus.

FOWLER — The David and Melissa Butts Museum located at the center of the township will be open during the Fowler Community Christmas Walk from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 24.
