Policy announced for pit access at sold-out Springsteen concert

THE VINDICATOR

PITTSBURGH — Live Nation has announced the general admission ticket policy for pit tickets for the sold-out Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band concert tonight at Mellon Arena.

The floor will be divided into two areas: the pit area in front of the stage and the remainder of the floor as general admission (GA). A lottery will determine access to the pit. If you have a GA ticket, it is not necessary to participate in the lottery; the GA ticket guarantees a spot in the remaining floor area.

Sequentially numbered wristbands will be distributed today outside Gate One, from 2 to 5 p.m.

A starting number will be randomly drawn at 5:15 p.m., and that number will be announced and displayed on a placard at Gate One. The fan holding the wristband that matches the starting number will become first in line. At 5:30 p.m., all fans with GA tickets and a wristband will line up in numerical order, beginning with the announced number.

The purpose of the random number distribution is to ensure that all fans have the same chance of being first in line, eliminating the need to camp out.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Pit patrons will be the first to enter the building at Gate Two, followed by the remaining GA floor patrons.

Anyone who receives a numbered wristband between 2 and 5 p.m. has a chance to enter the pit, but not a guarantee. A separate line will be started for those not in the pit. Those without wristbands may line up after those who have received wristbands.

Regardless of whether or not you participate in the lottery, anyone with a GA ticket will enter the arena at Gate Two. No wristbands will be issued at the pit entrance on the floor, inside Mellon Arena.
