“Project Runway” (10 p.m., Bravo): At a time when most reality shows have us rolling our eyes and shrugging our shoulders, it’s a distinct pleasure to welcome back this fashionable hit for its fourth season. Effervescent host Heidi Klum and genial guru Tim Gunn both return, along with 15 new wannabe designers who have their sights set on the $100,000 prize and a chance to show off their collection at New York Fashion Week. This season, the field features a few “ringers” — contestants who have dressed stars such as Jessica Alba and Madonna and had their work pop up in big-time fashion magazines.

“Pushing Daisies” (8 p.m., ABC): The weird cases keep popping up on “Pushing Daisies.” Tonight, Ned and the gang investigate the death of a renowned dog breeder who may have bred the world’s most perfect pooch. They soon learn that the guy was a polygamist with four wives.

“Life” (10 p.m., NBC): An ex-con is wondering why he went to prison in the first place.
