“SpongeBob’s Atlantis SquarePantis” (8 p.m., Nickelodeon): Rock music legend David Bowie lends his voice to an aquatic “SpongeBob SquarePants” as Lord Royal Highness, ruler of the mythical civilization of Atlantis, in this made-for-TV movie. When SpongeBob puts together two pieces of an ancient medallion, he and the Bikini Bottom gang are magically transported to the lost city, where Bowie’s animated avatar presides. Music — and mischief — ensue. A marathon of “SpongeBob” reruns, including two re-airings of “The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie,” begins at 9 a.m. “Behind the Pants,” a behind-the-scenes special, follows the film at 8:45 p.m.
“Darkon” (9 p.m., Independent Film Channel): This isn’t exactly a game. A group of weekend “warrior knights” in Baltimore (which they re-imagine as a make-believe medieval world name Darkon) take combat on their live-action “battleground” very seriously. These costumed role players combine the physical drama of historical re-enactments with story lines inspired by such fantasy epics as “Braveheart” and “Lord of the Rings.” The result: real-life adventures, however much heightened by fantasy. They are captured in the heroic documentary “Darkon,” making its TV premiere on Independent Film Channel tonight.
“Change the World. Start at Home” (HGTV): Volunteerism, environmental awareness and community revitalization are themes for a weeklong block of HGTV programs. On a new episode of “Color Splash” (tonight at 9), designer David Bromstad and his team transform the bedroom of 7-year-old Hayden Pheif into a Star Wars spaceship. Pheif suffers from a rare muscle disease. Other shows will feature more makeovers, including “Spice Up My Kitchen” (Tuesday at 8:30 p.m.), which transforms the kitchen of a nonprofit that feeds 300 a month; “Design on a Dime” (Wednesday at 9:30 p.m.), remodeling the home of Colin Walsh, who suffers from cystic fibrosis; and “Hidden Potential” (Nov. 18 at 12:30 p.m.), which works with the family of 5-year-old leukemia patient Nicholas Tarabokia.
“Heroes” (9 p.m., NBC): The story goes back four months to explain the mess we’ve been watching this entire season.
“Two and a Half Men” (9 p.m., CBS): The music world may never be the same after Charlie becomes an unlikely children’s singing sensation. But when he refuses to perform at a concert, his record promoter (Richard Kind, “Spin City”) threatens to sue him.
“Samantha Who?” (9:32 p.m., ABC): There are more surprises in store for our post-coma girl on “Samantha Who?” Tonight, Sam runs into a former boyfriend and learns that he’s taken out a restraining order against her.
