Investor in Delphi deal
terminates agreement
TROY, Mich. — A key financial agreement that Delphi Corp. needs to exit bankruptcy is in jeopardy, the Detroit Free Press said.
Appaloosa Management LP, the lead investor in a deal that would have pumped up to $2.55 billion into the Troy-based supplier, said in a filing Thursday that it has terminated its agreement because certain conditions were not met. Delphi spokesman Lindsey Williams declined to comment on the unmet terms.

get preliminary OK
SHIPPINGPORT, Pa. — FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Co. said the Beaver Valley Nuclear Power Station has met the Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s preliminary requirements to extend the operating licenses for its two units for 20 years.
Originally authorized to operate for 40 years, licenses for Beaver Valley Unit 1 and Unit 2 are set to expire in 2016 and 2027, respectively. License renewals would extend Unit 1’s license until 2036 and Unit 2’s license until 2047.
