Toastmasters announces competition winners

YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown Executive Toastmasters is announcing the winners of the 2007 Toastmasters District 10 Conference held last weekend.

Roy Thomas won first place for the Table Topics competition, and Brian McGowan won first place for the Humorous Speech contest.

John McAtee, president of Youngstown Toastmasters, said, “Ninety-four clubs exist within District 10, and the fact that both winners hailed from our local club is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of our members.”

Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs.
