Indictments in Trumbull murder cases


WARREN — A Niles man and a Warren Township man have been indicted on murder charges.

A Trumbull County grand jury indicted Howard W. Dorsey III, 19, of 4887 Anderson-Anthony Road, Leavittsburg, on charges of murder with a firearm specification, three counts of aggravated robbery with firearm specifications and three counts of kidnapping with firearm specifications.

He is accused of killing Tyrel N. Scarborough, 27, of Lane Drive in Warren, Tuesday at a house at 382 Freeman Street N.W. Scarborough’s body was found at about 9:30 p.m.

His brother, Dominique L. Dorsey, 18, of the Anderson-Anthony Road address, was indicted on three counts of aggravated robbery with firearm specifications and three counts of kidnapping with firearm specifications in same incident.

In the Niles case, Michael McGrath, 30, of 69 Woodglen Ave., was indicted in a charge of aggravated murder in the death of his roommate, Ray M. Carroll, 28. Carroll was found dead of multiple stab wounds in the kitchen of the Woodglen Avenue residence Oct. 30. Niles police said Carroll had been dead for a while when they found his body.
