Brother gets prison over meth lab

PITTSBURGH (AP) — The second of two brothers accused of running a methamphetamine lab in a Donora personal care home will spend 21 months in federal prison.

William Ralstin, 38, was sentenced Wednesday. He and his 27-year-old brother, Albert, ran the illegal drug lab at the Ralstin Personal Care Home in Donora, about 20 miles south of Pittsburgh.

Both lived in and did maintenance work at the care home, which their parents operated. Eight people with mental or physical disabilities lived in the home when it was raided by federal drug agents in August 2006.

Albert Ralstin was sentenced to 15 years, eight months in prison in September.

The state closed the home after the raid. It had been open for 12 years.
