A checklist of local, state and federal institutions and local businesses that will be open or closed Monday, Veterans Day. Residents of communities not listed should check their governmental office schedules.

City offices: Youngstown, Warren, Niles, Salem, Sharon, New Castle, Newton Falls Municipal Court, closed.

County offices: Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, (commissioners office), Mercer, Lawrence, closed.

All state offices: closed.

Federal offices: closed; no delivery of regular mail.

Schools: Many schools are closed, but Youngstown, Warren, Niles, Salem, Sharon, New Castle, Youngstown Diocese are open.

Universities: Youngstown State University and Kent State University’s Trumbull Campus, closed.

Western Reserve Transit Authority (WRTA), closed.

Public libraries: Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County, closed; Warren-Trumbull, open.

Stock market: Butler Wick & Co., open.

Banks: Chase Bank, Charter One, Cortland Banks, Farmers National Bank, First National Bank, First Place Bank, Warren, Home Federal Savings & Loan, Niles, Home Savings & Loan, Huntington Bank, Austintown, Key Bank, closed .

First Place Bank Howland, Boardman, Struthers, Austintown and Seville, open. Certain branches of National City of Ohio and National City of Pennsylvania, US Bank in Poland, Boardman, Canfield and Warren area, open. Check with your bank branch.

Trash collection: Allison Brothers Inc., 9551 Gibson Road, North Jackson, servicing Austintown, Beaver, Berlin, Boardman, Canfield, Ellsworth, Goshen, Green and North Jackson, and Allied Waste, Waste Management, Warren City Environmental Services, regular hours.
