Third suspect in death is 16 years old
YOUNGSTOWN — A 16-year-old boy is now the third suspect in the Sunday evening shooting death of David B. Clinkscale. James E. Steward III of Thornton Avenue was arrested on a murder charge late Tuesday afternoon after being questioned by detectives and taken to the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center, police said. His co-defendants, Derrick C. Veal, 19, of Toledo (formerly of Youngstown), and Tora Barnette, who turns 19 on Saturday, of Upland Avenue were arraigned today in municipal court, each on a murder charge. Judge Robert P. Milich set a $250,000 bond for each man and ordered that they have no contact with the Clinkscale family. Veal and Tora were arrested Monday after being questioned by detectives. Clinkscale, 19, of Parkcliff Avenue was shot inside an apartment on Ohio Avenue.
