InfoCision plans large addition

AUSTINTOWN — InfoCision is planning a large addition to its building at 5740 Interstate Blvd.

The call center, which raises funds for national nonprofit organizations, employs nearly 560 people now, said public relations coordinator Gretchen Fri.

She said the company cannot say at this time how many jobs will be created by the addition.

The estimated $2,852,000 addition will encompass 23,000 square feet, according to a zoning document.

It will include 26 rooms.

Fri said details haven’t been finalized, and the company doesn’t know when building will begin.

Akron-based InfoCision is the world’s third-largest privately held operator of call centers. It has 32 centers in 13 locations in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

In this area, it employs 1,350 people in centers in Boardman, Youngstown and New Castle as well as Austintown.

The Austintown center opened in 1997.
