Hubbard man injured in accident today

BROOKFIELD — A 19-year-old man was injured about noon today when he lost control of his pickup truck on state Route 7.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Clyde Dixon of Hubbard was driving his truck northbound on Route 7, about a mile north of U.S. Route 62, when he lost control. The truck veered off the road, struck a mailbox, road sign and a tree. He was ejected and the truck came to rest in a ditch.

He was in the emergency room of St. Elizabeth Health Center late this afternoon. The state patrol cited Dixon for failure to control and not wearing a seat belt.
