Trumbull voting smooth, only one small glitch

WARREN – Polling was going “very smoothly” this morning in Trumbull County, according to the board of elections.

Elections Director Kelly Pallante said the precincts were fairly busy when the polls opened this morning. There was a minor glitch at one precinct when a voting machine wasn’t working and a couple voters had to use paper ballots.

“There were “no severe fatal problems,” Pallante said of the election process.

The elections director said that there were fewer absentee ballots than expected. Of 4,235 requested, 3,735 had been returned by this morning. The board accepts absentee ballots until voting ends at 7:30 p.m. today.
