Local insurance agent
elected trustee of group

BOARDMAN — Thomas Costello of the James & Son Agency was recently elected a trustee of the Independent Insurance Agents of Ohio.

An insurance agent for more than 25 years, Costello, 57, will serve a three-year term.

He will represent Medina, Summit, Portage, Trumbull and Mahoning counties.

The 14-member board of trustees guides the organization’s business affairs and advocacy activities on behalf of the member agencies.

Ribbon-cutting set for
AJ Peppers Restaurant

NILES — A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday for AJ Peppers Restaurant, 5125 Youngstown-Warren Road.

The new restaurant features American and Italian cuisine.

It has a full bar and offers dine-in and carry-out service.

Newton Falls Giant Eagle
to become Shop ‘N Save

NEWTON FALLS — Eleanor Spicko said she is changing her Ridge Road grocery store from a Giant Eagle store to a Shop ‘N Save. She and her late husband, Edward, opened the store in 1961. She said the flexibility and options offered by Shop ‘n Save will result in better service and more competitive prices.
