Man accused of stabbing husband of his ex-wife

YOUNGSTOWN — A North Garland Avenue man was in stable condition at St. Elizabeth Health Center on Sunday night and the man’s wife’s ex-husband was in the Mahoning County Jail accused of stabbing him.

Claudio R. Correa was taken to the hospital after being stabbed in the back and slashed on the hand and forearm.

He told police that his wife’s ex-husband, Luis Colon Martinez, was visiting from Lancaster, Pa., and asked Correa to go outside for a walk.

Correa said he refused and Martinez followed him and stabbed him in the back with a kitchen knife.

Martinez was arrested and charged with felonious assault.
