“Community Connection” (6:30 a.m., WFMJ Channel 21): November is National Epilepsy Awareness Month, so Madonna Chism Pinkard, host of the program, will interview Janet Mau and Tom Pugh from the Mahoning Valley Epilepsy Foundation. Pugh will showcase Jazzy, a seizure detection dog. Jazzy is trained to help Tom in case of emergencies and to identify when a seizure may occur.
Also on the program will be Katrina Walker, community outreach coordinator of Hospice of the Valley, who will discuss hospice services and dispel myths about hospice care. “Community Connection” will be rebroadcast at 7 p.m. Wednesday on Time Warner Cable channel 15 in Trumbull County.
“David Betras Show” (10:30 a.m., WFMJ Channel 21): Two tax levies that will appear on the Nov. 6 ballot will be the topic. In the first segment, Boardman Township Trustee Robyn Callito and Fiscal Officer Bill Leicht will present the case for the 4.1-mill operating levy for the township. In the second segment, Youngstown Schools Superintendent Wendy Webb and Rev. Scott Signor, a concerned parent, will discuss the school district’s 9.5-mill levy.
