Greenford Ruritans elect 2008 officers

GREENFORD — Bill Pitts was elected president of Greenford Ruritan Club for the 2008 season during a reorganizational meeting held Oct. 22 with Cary Hull presiding.

Chosen as his associate officers were G.L. Mears, vice president; Jack Velk, secretary; Dennis Hawk, treasurer; and Fred Hoff, 3-year director.

Standing committees developed and submitted their budgets for the coming season, and plans were made for a directors meeting to be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 and a regular club meeting to take place at 7 p.m. Nov. 26, both at South Range Middle School.

Dinner was served by Calla Evangelical Community Church members.
