Meshel named YSU trustee
Former Ohio state senator Harry Meshel of Youngstown has been appointed to the Youngstown State University Board of Trustees for a nine-year term.
The appointment was announced today by Gov. Ted Strickland who also named former state representative Dennis Eckart of Concord, Ohio, to the Kent State University Board of Trustees. That's also a nine-year term.
Meshel fills a spot left by William J. Bresnahan whose term expired this year.
Meshel is is a YSU alumnus, having earned a business administration degree while it was still known as Youngstown College.
