Mail fraud charges
Mail fraud charges
BOARDMAN — An information filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court, Cleveland charges Dominic Frazzini, who once owned the Shooting Gallery, a gun dealership and firing range on Southern Boulevard, with mail fraud. An information means the defendant has waived indictment and, in nearly all cases, reached a plea agreement with the government. The information says Frazzini, of Oak Ridge Drive, devised a scheme to obtain money over the Internet and other places for guns he did not have and never intended to deliver. He required the buyer to mail him a partial payment for the firearms, the government said. The scheme operated between January 2002 and May 2003, court papers show. No court date has been set for Frazzini’s initial court appearance.
Stolen car found in river
SHARON, Pa. — Sharon police and firefighters fished a car out of the Shenango River. Police Chief Mike Menster said they got a call just before midnight Tuesday that there was a crash and a car had gone over the side of a bridge. Police found a partially submerged 1995 Buick sedan near the Budd Street bridge. Menster said they later determined the car was not involved in a crash but was driven to a nearby canoe launch and pushed into the water. Once they pulled the car from the water, they found it had been stolen that night from the 1100 block of Fruit Avenue in Farrell. A window was smashed and the steering column was damaged, he said. No one was inside, he said.
