Police arrest accused Wal-Mart robber
BOARDMAN — Township police arrested a Youngstown man already on parole for aggravated robbery and other charges, charging him with the aggravated robbery of Wal-Mart.
Shawn L. Green, also known as Sean Green, 34, of Almyra Avenue, was arrested Friday afternoon at Community Corrections Association, Market Street, when he went to enroll in an in-house program conducted there, said Detective Glenn Patton.
Green, who was picked up by Patton and members of the Mahoning Valley Law Enforcement Task Force, was charged with aggravated robbery stemming from an incident earlier this month at Wal-Mart.
He's accused of bringing $127 in merchandise to the register, threatening a cashier in a note and then fleeing the Doral Drive store.
Records show that Green was released from prison in November and placed on parole after serving 14 years on several charges including aggravated robbery in both Mahoning and Trumbull counties.
Green’s preliminary hearing on the latest aggravated robbery charge is set for Thursday in Mahoning County Court.
