13-year-old stabs boy, 12

YOUNGSTOWN — A 13-year-old boy was charged with felonious assault after police say he stabbed a 12-year-old in the chest with a screwdriver Monday.

The boys began fighting around 6 p.m. at the corner of Second Street and Steel Street, police say. Witnesses reported seeing the older boy pull a screwdriver from his pants.

The 12-year-old was treated at St. Elizabeth Health Center. Police observed cut marks on his chest, reports said.
