Water to be shut off to neighborhood in Austintown on Tuesday

AUSTINTOWN — About 400 homes will be affected by a water shutoff Tuesday.

The waterline on Kirk Road will be taken out of service as a contractor installs pressure regulating equipment, the Youngstown Water Department said.

Affected will be Kirk Road residents west of address 5924; Turner Road residents south of the bike path crossing; Whispering Pines Drive; Whispering Pines Court; Meanderwood Court; Slippery Rock Drive; Berry Blossom Drive; Meander Reserve Circle; and Meander Reserve Court.

Water should be restored by about 3 p.m. Boil cooking and drinking water for one minute until further notice.
