Olive Brown-McKeithan

Olive Brown-McKeithan is likely the next mayor of Farrell. She garnered the Democratic party’s nomination earlier this month and she has no opposition on the Republican ballot.

Age: 65

Family: Husband, Walter McKeithan; four living children and one deceased child; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Background: Born in Birmingham, Ala., but moved to Sharon, Pa., as a child with her parents. She grew up in North Flats of Sharon before moving to Farrell with her mother in 1966.

Occupation: Executive director of the Minority Health Center, ERASE Anti-Drug Coalition.

Political experience: Finishing a four-year term on Farrell City Council.
