Man, 74, charged with running 'chop shop'


A 74-year-old man has been charged with 14 counts of receiving stolen property after the discovery of what police are calling a chop shop on Market Street in Youngstown. Lewis Roosevelt of Shehy Street was arraigned today in municipal court. Bond was set at $50,000.

The building where cars and parts were found on Market had appeared to be a vacant building. An accidental fire at the building earlier this month revealed stolen cars and parts, police said.
