Here's another reason not to smoke

BOARDMAN — A Trenholm Road man was charged with robbery, accused of pulling a knife on a man who refused to give him a cigarette.

Marc S. Hamilton, 31, is in the Mahoning County Justice Center and scheduled to appear today in Mahoning County Area Court.

The victim, 27, told police that he was standing outside of a business in the 620-block of Boardman-Canfield Road Wednesday, smoking a cigarette. Hamilton walked up to him and asked for a cigarette. The victim told police that he said "no" and that Hamilton held a knife to his side and demanded a cigarette.

The victim backed away and Hamilton put the knife away when an employee of the business came outside and asked to see the weapon. Hamilton then left the area and was later picked up by police.
