Contestants sought for Campbell City Fest pageants


CAMPBELL — Two pageants will be part of the festivities at the 2007 Campbell City Fest set for June 29-July 1 at Roosevelt Park. Both contests will be held on the patio of the Campbell Community Center, located near the park’s Sycamore Drive entrance.

The 2007 Little King & Queen Pageant will be held at 5:30 p.m. June 29. It is open to children 3 to 6 who are Campbell residents, and dress will be casual attire. Participation is limited to 10. One winner will be chosen following introductions and a brief interview by judges; however, each child participating will receive a trophy and a gift.

The 2007 Miss Campbell City Fest Pageant will begin at 6:30 p.m. June 29. Campbell residents between 16 and 20 at the time of the event are eligible. Each participant will model in a formal gown and speak for three minutes. The field is limited to 10, each of whom must include a photograph with the application form.

The Campbell City Fest Committee will accept applications for both events until June 19. Application forms are available at Campbell Memorial High School or from Pat Centofanti, (330) 755-0696, or Jackie Black, (330) 755-8496.
