Claims rep charged in theft of public money

YOUNGSTOWN — A Social Security Administration claims representative is charged with theft of public money.

The charge against Juliene A. White was filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Ohio, Eastern Division. A grand jury charged that the theft took place between Sept. 19 and Dec. 29, 2005.

The grand jury charged that White submitted false vouchers to the Social Security Administration, seeking reimbursement for expenses for her minor son when he did not live with her.   White received $5,305 in reimbursement that she wasn’t entitled to, the grand jury charged.
