Bengals: Prosecutors say more testing will be needed to determine whether wide receiver Chris Henry, who has been suspended by the NFL and is on probation in criminal cases in two states, failed a drug screening. Hernry is on probation in Kentucky for letting minors drink in a hotel room he rented and in Florida for carrying a concealed weapon. Henry’s agent, Marvin Frazier, insisted that the drug test was negative and the Bengals said they were awaiting more information from authorities in Kenton County, Ky., where the screening took place. Meanwhile, the Bengals, plagued by a series of off-field problems for more than a year, waived linebacker A.J. Nicholson hours after he appeared in court Monday on a domestic violence charge. The Bengals waived Nicholson, who pleaded not guilty Monday in Kenton County court to a domestic violence charge. His girlfriend tried to recant her claim that Nicholson hit her, but a judge would not allow it. Nicholson remains free on $5,000 bond, with a hearing set for May 31.

Falcons: Authorities investigating evidence that suggested a home owned by Falcons quarterback Michael Vick was involved in a dog fighting operation met to compare information Monday. “At this time, the investigation continues. We have no further comment,” said a statement distributed to reporters after the nearly 2-hour meeting said. The meeting at the Surry County government office involved Commonwealth’s Attorney Gerald Poindexter, Sheriff Harold Brown, the county’s animal control officer, two special agents from the Virginia State Police and an investigator with the U.S. Department of Agriculture also representing the U.S. Office of the Inspector General. The case began April 25 when police conducting a drug investigation raided the house Vick owned in rural Surry County and found dozens of dogs. They also found items associated with dog fighting, including a “pry bar” used to pry apart a dog’s jaws. No charges have been filed in the case, but Poindexter last week told The Associated Press as many as six to 10 people could be involved. Dog fighting is a felony in Virginia. Vick is a registered dog breeder.

Bills: Cornerback Jason Webster agreed to a one-year deal, a move to bolster Buffalo’s inexperienced defensive backfield. A seven-year veteran, Webster spent the past three seasons playing with Atlanta before being released by the Falcons on May 10. He’ll immediately compete for a starting job in Buffalo after the team lost Nate Clements to free agency this offseason. Because of injuries, Webster hasn’t played a complete season since 2002 with San Francisco. Webster has appeared in only 38 games over the past four seasons, and missed the final eight games of last year with a torn groin muscle. He was considered a bust in Atlanta, failing to measure up to expectations after the team signed him to a six-year contract that included a $7 million bonus. Kansas City, Seattle and Detroit expressed interest in Webster since he was released by Atlanta.
