Boardman relay raises more than $300K

BOARDMAN — The amount raised at the Boardman Relay for Life on was $305,000, said Mark Luke, event chairman. In 2006, the event raised $286,000 for the American Cancer Society. The 13th annual event, which started Friday night in Spartan Stadium, behind Center Middle School, ended today. The Boardman relay is the third largest in the state in per-capita giving.
