American Legion Council holds election

YOUNGSTOWN — Mahoning County Council of American Legion elected officers for 2007-2008 during the May 9 meeting at Youngstown American Legion Post 732.

Named to various positions were:

• First vice commander, Dean McClain of Austintown, Poland Post 15.

• Second vice commander, Mark Dilts of Austintown, Austintown Post 301.

• Adjutant, Donna Burford of Poland, Struthers Post 158.

• Chaplain, George Street III of Diamond, Lake Milton Post 737.

• Judge advocate, Joe Rockwell of Sebring, Lake Milton Post 737.

• Finance officer, Bill Amendol of Youngstown, Austintown Post 301.

• Americanism chairman, Gary Mellows of Alliance, Lake Milton Post 737.
