Two men facing menacing charges

A teal Ford Escort used in the drive-by was found burned.
YOUNGSTOWN -- The jail denied Brian M. Rushton admittance after a nurse found 13 fresh bullet fragments in his right shoulder, chest and legs.
Rushton, 24, of Lora Avenue, was then taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center on Monday afternoon.
He and Derrick Rushton, 22, of East Dewey Avenue, both charged with aggravated menacing, were expected to be arraigned today in municipal court. Their relationship wasn't immediately known.
Based on the menacing charge, the Ohio Adult Parole Authority placed a hold on Brian Rushton for a parole violation. Records show he pleaded guilty in April 2005 to cocaine possession and was sentenced to three years' probation in June 2005.
An East Side woman had told police that a white Jeep Cherokee pulled in front of her as she drove on East High Avenue around noon Monday. She said Derrick Rushton was driving and Brian Rushton, the passenger, pointed a gun at her, yelling that a relative of hers had shot his brother.
Shot that morning
Jason Rushton, 21, of East Dewey Avenue and Ayers Street, was shot in his right side around 9 a.m. Monday as he and others stood outside a house in the 100 block of Ayers. Brian Rushton was wounded at the same time.
Jason Rushton gave police the name of the 22-year-old man who shot him, saying they'd had a dispute a few months ago -- reports don't say what about -- but he was under the impression that everything was OK. No arrest had been made as of Tuesday.
The shots fired on Ayers came from a teal Ford Escort, which firefighters later found burned on Gibson Street.
Police found the white Jeep the woman described in the 100 block of Ayers, where the shooting took place.
