Kiwanis Club honors Key Club adviser

CANFIELD — Honored by Western Mahoning County Kiwanis Club during a meeting April 25 at A La Cart was Ron Ples, who has served for 20 years as Key Club adviser at Canfield High School.

Dr. Abby Barone, principal of the school, spoke of Ples and his dedication to the students. Under his leadership, the club has received many accolades. Ples will retire from teaching at the end of the school year.

Sherry Creighton was named as the Key Club adviser for the new school year.

Kiwanian Barb Smith served as a judge of single service projects and oracle presentations at the Kiwanis Ohio District Key Club Convention April 27-29 in Columbus.
