Hoyt seeks entries for juried art show
NEW CASTLE, Pa. — Entries are now being Accepted for the 2007 Hoyt Mid-Atlantic juried art exhibition. Juror for this year is Jerald Melberg of Jerald Melberg Gallery in Charlotte, N.C. Melberg has been an art dealer and gallery owner for 23 years. Prior to opening his gallery, he was curator at the Mint Museums in Charlotte. During his career he has curated major exhibitions for such artists as Pablo Picasso, Larry Rivers, Romare Bearden, Robert Motherwell and Wolf Kahn.
All artists from the mid1Atlantic region (including New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Virginia and West Virginia) are invited to submit slides of their work by June 22. The exhibition runs from Oct. 2-Nov. 21 with cash prizes presented at the opening reception Oct. 7.
