ACADEMIC CHALLENGE Local contenders

Teams from Boardman and Lowellville are among 160 teams from around the nation that will compete in the High School National Academic Challenge May 26-27 in Chicago.
The Poland Academic Challenge Team was also invited to the national competition, organized by the National Academic Quiz Tournaments, but is not going.
The teams qualified by finishing in the top 15 percent of the field at a regular-season tournament that used questions provided by NAQT. A few qualified by winning non-NAQT state championships and others received wild-card invitations.
