Lori Zimmerman to be bride of Terry Backlund

McDONALD -- Announced by Jean Zimmerman of McDonald is the engagement of her daughter, Lori Zimmerman, 1665 Morningside Lane, Rochester Hills, Mich., and Terry Backlund, a son of Betty Backlund of Grand Marais, Minn., and the late Sidney Backlund.
Miss Zimmerman, also a daughter of the late Martin Zimmerman, is a business system manager with Delphi Corp. in Troy, Mich. She graduated from Kettering University in Flint, Mich., with a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering.
Mr. Backlund graduated from Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis and is a real estate agent with Hakes Realty in Grand Marais.
The couple will issue invitations for their Aug. 4 wedding to take place at Maple Hill Church and for their reception at the Community Center, both in Grand Marais.
