12 Lawrence churches to aid Habitat for Humanity

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — Following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ’s 12 apostles, a dozen Lawrence County churches have committed to build a new home in the county for a needy family.

Dubbed an Apostle’s Build, the churches are working with Lawrence County Habitat for Humanity to construct the organization’s 13th home in the community.

While individual churches within the county have participated in Lawrence County Habitat for Humanity builds in the past, this is the first time a large group of churches has come together, said Jennifer Gordon, executive director of Lawrence County Habitat for Humanity.
