Pa. man gets prison time for sex assault with girls
EASTON, Pa. (AP) — A man who told a judge he assaulted girls ages 12 and 15 because his wife was too busy playing bingo was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Floyd Kinney Jr. 49, was silent Thursday as he was sentenced by Northampton County Judge F.P. Kimberly McFadden. His attorney, Richard Yetter, said, “I’m to tell you he’s sorry.” In pleading guilty on Dec. 1 to two counts of aggravated indecent assault, Kinney told McFadden he sexually assaulted the girls, over a five-year period beginning in 1992, because his wife spent too much time playing bingo.
Judge McFadden said he was “despicable.” “Mr. Kinney, today is the day you have to pay,” the judge said Thursday. “Your card, as they say in bingo parlance, is full.”
