21 catalytic converters stolen from dealership

YOUNGSTOWN — City police are investigating the theft of 21 catalytic converters from a used car dealership Thursday night and Friday morning.

Workers at J.D. Byrider, 775 N. Meridian Road,   found 21 of the converters, which are used to reduce emissions, missing from General Motors cars.

Surveillance tapes showed someone had been in the lot during the overnight hours.
