The propulsive sound of Japanese Taiko drumming can be heard at Slippery Rock University when recording artist Kenny Endo presents a 6:30 p.m. concert at the auditorium in the Advanced Technology and Science Hall. Taiko, which is Japanese for "fat drum," blends traditional Japanese sounds with rhythms from Africa, Brazil and Latin America. The concert is free.

Conductor Michael Gelfand has packed tonight's spring concert of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra with nothing but all-time favorites like "Hoe Down" from Copland's "Rodeo," and Rossini's "Overture to William Tell."
