GRAPEFRUIT LEAGUE ROUNDUP Bucs & amp; Tribe

Reds 6, Pirates 4
SARASOTA, Fla. -- Zach Duke, who will open Pittsburgh's season in Houston, gave up three runs and seven hits in six innings, striking out three. Adam Dunn and Edwin Encarnacion hit back-to-back homers in the sixth. "It was an excellent tuneup, the last one before he pitches Monday," manager Jim Tracy said. "He's had a solid spring and he's prepared." Tracy was particularly pleased with the way closer Solomon Torres pitched the eighth. Torres gave up one hit but retired the other three batters he faced, lowering his ERA to 12.27. Last Sunday against Tampa Bay, Torres walked three and gave up four runs while retiring only one batter in the ninth. His control was much better Wednesday. Reds starter Aaron Harang, who will pitch the season opener for the second year in a row, had a tough time getting his slider over the plate. He gave up 10 hits -- nine of them singles -- in five innings. Cincinnati broke a 3-all tie in the seventh on Chad Moeller's two-run double off Marty McLeary.
Indians 3, Blue Jays 2
WINTER HAVEN, Fla. -- Mike Rouse, who found out earlier Wednesday he made the Indians roster as a utility infielder, won the game with an RBI single in the ninth inning. Cleveland outfielder Jason Michaels hit a solo home run, doubled and walked in his three plate appearances against Toronto starter Gustavo Chacin. Travis Hafner's run-scoring single accounted for the other run charged to Chacin during his five innings. Indians starter C.C. Sabathia left in the first inning after taking a line drive off his left forearm and six different relief pitchers combined to hold the Blue Jays to four hits. The win went to former Toronto pitcher Bubbie Buzachero. The loss was charged to former Indians pitcher Lee Gronkiewicz.
