Deaf and blind schools
The Ohio State School for the Blind and Ohio School for the Deaf are working on a plan to combine their campuses into a single unit, although their instructional programs would remain independent.
The state has put up 4 million for planning and design.The state is expected to pay the estimated 40 million construction cost.Project time line: 4-5 years.School for the Blind established in 1837.School for the Blind enrollment: 126.School for the Blind residential pupils: 63.School for the Deaf established in 1829.School for the Deaf enrollment: 146.School for the Deaf residential pupils: 124.
