March 27, 1967: Three burglars escaped a cordon of police and deputy sheriffs after they were interrupted while loading a truck with merchandise at the Federal Wholesale Co. on Myron Street in Hubbard. Police thought they had the warehouse surrounded, but the burglars disappeared on foot into the night, leaving a truck loaded with 30,000 in loot.
