YOUNGSTOWN -- The Missionary Ministry of Everlife Worship Center will hold a cheesecake sale. To place an order for plain cheesecake ( 15) or flavored cheesecake ( 17), call (330) 559-4939 or (330) 743-5433.
The deadline for orders and payment is Wednesday and pickup will be from 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the center, 474 Early Road. Proceeds will be used for a missionary trip to Haiti in 2008.
Glow Fore It to benefitsports ambassador
BOARDMAN -- Deer Creek Plaza, 8414 Market St., will host a Glow Fore It miniature golf event from 5-9 p.m. April 11 as a benefit for the People to People International Sports Ambassador program. The event will feature 18 holes of indoor miniature golf in black light.
Admission is 5 and proceeds will help defray the expense of sending Sam Cambouris, one of 12 competing wrestlers, to the international games this summer.

Foundation schedulesprograms for symposium
TALLMADGE -- Ohio Parkinson Foundation Northeast Region will hold a Parkinson Symposium from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. April 21 at Tallmadge Community Center, 80 Community Road. Featured will be presentations on "Use of Guided Imagery," The Eye, Vision" and "Complementary Therapies."

Teams will bowlfor funds for kidsBOARDMAN -- Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Mahoning Valley will hold its 24th annual Bowl for Kids' Sake Bowlathon from 4-7 p.m. April 28 at Camelot Lanes.Participants are asked to form teams of six players and to collect pledges of 75 per member. There will be 100 door prizes and up to 10 grand prizes for those acquiring the most pledges.
Bowling and shoe rental will be free, and refreshments will be provided by more than 20 area restaurants.
A lane can be sponsored for 300, and the sponsor will receive a full-color 3x5 sign that will advertise the company or organization.

Thunder will roll intoChevy Centre for benefit
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Mahoning Valley Thunder Arena Football Team will clash with a Cincinnati team April 21 at the Chevrolet Centre. Big Hits 106.1 WBBG-FM Clear Channel Radio is sponsoring the sports event.
A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the Angels of Easter Seals to provide services for area children and adults with disabilities. For tickets to the game, call the Easter Seals Center at (330) 743-1168.
Wine taste, auctionand dinner schedules
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Beatitude House, in cooperation with General Motors Lordstown Complex and Clear Channel Radio, is sponsoring a wine taste, auction and dinner.
The event has been scheduled for 6 p.m. May 4 at the Maronite Center, 1555 S. Meridian Road. A live auction will be conducted by George Roman and musical entertainment will be by John Reese. Serving as host for the fundraiser will be Jeff Kelly, Big 106.1 Morning Show disc jockey.
The donation is 65 per person ( 30 is tax-deductible). Proceeds will benefit the Beatitude House and support its mission to provide disadvantaged women and children an opportunity to transform their lives.
