Woman in serious condition after stray shot

YOUNGSTOWN -- A city woman was reported in serious condition Saturday evening at St. Elizabeth Health Center after she was shot in the neck.
Maria Torres, 48, of Ayers Street, was driving with her husband in the 1000 block of Belmont Avenue at 12:10 a.m. Friday when she was hit in the neck by a stray, single bullet, according to police.
The couple did not see anyone fire a gun before they drove to the hospital.
