Warren, Girard robotics teams help win 1st place

WARREN -- An alliance of teams from Warren G. Harding High School, Girard High School and Erie, Pa., took first place Saturday in a robotics competition at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland.
Frank Bosak, a telecommunications student at Youngstown State University and a former member of the program, said the award followed three days of competition.
Warren's Delphi ELITE (Encouraging Learning in Technology & amp; Engineering), Girard's Robocats and Erie's Creativity in Action Team were able to create robots that stacked inner tubes and could raise themselves.
Harding also won the safety award and Girard won the team spirit award.
Bosak said the program is designed to teach students about science and technology. Delphi Packard has been a long-time sponsor of the program.
