Shortened scoresheet names are maddening

I got a real problem with computerized scoresheets that truncate names.
Let's put you in my spot.
You're typing a scoresheet when you come across the name Bruce Murar, followed by Patsy Valenti, Bill Sonnenlit, then Carl Pasterna, and, finally, Don McDonoug.
What am I, a crytographer?
You'd better have a short first and last name -- like Joe Mama -- or you won't recognize it once your secretary's league software program prints a hard copy.
I wouldn't know if George Svetl ends there or continues.
Personal example
I'd be embarrassed. What if some computer printout couldn't recognize anything beyond eight, seven, six or five spaces, for example: Bassett or Basset, Basse or Bass.
Hey, not bad.
If I were you long-named people, I'd be on the phone to my secretary or, better yet, Bill Gates.
The only guy who fits the mold of cut-off names without being culpable is Rodg King. There's no way the software gods would snip the last two letters of this bowler's first name without touching the surname.
Am I picking on individuals or one particular league? Not at all.
They can be found any place 21st Century software is sold.
Here are names from some other leagues with shortchanged software: Carol Penningto, Dennis Trowbridg and Janelle Montgom.
Poor Stella Bucciarell, she's been i-less for years now.
There may even be some cut-off names that look better without all the letters.
Do we have to go so far as to create another government entity to deal with the problem -- the secretary of software?
Those who thought that computers would make the world better are wrong: they've cost millions of jobs, replaced rec room staples like darts and pool tables and give credence to the Jetsons.
It's too late in the season to make changes, but, come September, let the bowler beware: garbage in, garbage out.
Gimme the whole name.
I say, Luddites unite!
