HMHP ad campaignhas 'everyday heroes'
YOUNGSTOWN -- Humility of Mary Health Partners has launched a new advertising campaign featuring what it calls "everyday heroes" in its organization. Included are employees, physicians and volunteers.
The campaign is done in black and white, with only spot color in print ads and billboards. There also are television ads. Minimal use of color is intended to make the campaign stand out, said HMHP, which is the parent company of St. Elizabeth and St. Joseph health centers. A Web site has been created to support the campaign -- www.medicinebeyond.com.
Sweeney is re-electedboard trustee president
VIENNA -- David Sweeney, president of Sweeney Buick Pontiac GMC and vice president of Sweeney Chevrolet, has been re-elected president of the board of trustees of the Automobile Dealers Association of Eastern Ohio.
Other re-elected officers are Terry Poulton of Columbiana Ford, vice president, and Russ Banks of R.D. Banks Chevrolet in Champion, treasurer.
Elected to three-year terms as trustees were Kim Welsh Koch of Welsh Motors in New Springfield and John Kufleitner Salem Chrysler Jeep Dodge.
Junior Achievementseeks volunteers
GIRARD -- Junior Achievement of Mahoning Valley is looking for volunteers to teach JA programs to pupils in kindergarten through 12th grade. Volunteers present prepared activities that help young pupils learn basic skills, think critically and solve complex problems. JA provides lesson plans, program materials and training.

Staying in the Valley,Dr. Cano opens office
AUSTINTOWN -- Dr. Francisco Cano has opened a new office at 454 N. Canfield-Niles Road, Suite 3000. With changes in the structure of Tod Children's Hospital, Dr. Cano said he wanted to keep a presence in the area. He has been the director of the allergy and immunization department at the hospital since 1996. He is an allergy immunology specialist seeing adult and pediatric patients. He also has offices in Hermitage, Pa., and Greenville, Pa.
Applications takenfor plasterers program
VIENNA -- Applications are being accepted for a class of plasterers by the Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties Cement Masons and Plasterers Joint Apprenticeship Program.
Applications will be taken at the Builders Association of Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania, 1372 Youngstown-Kingsville Road. The times are 9-11 a.m. and 1:30-3 p.m. April 23-27.
Applicants must bring a transcript of high school grades, military service certificate of completion, if applicable, and a birth certificate or driver's license.
