Monti anniversary is occasion for renewal of vows

AUSTINTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Valentino Monti, 55 Kleber Ave., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their nuptial vows in the presence of the Rev. Karl Rein on March 11 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, where they were united in marriage on March 16, 1957, and are members.
A party held afterward was hosted by the couple's children and their spouses, Valery Finney of Austintown, Vicky and Mick Schwab of Champion, and Vanessa and Rich Krantz of Youngstown.
Among those participating in the event were the couple's five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Monti, the former Louise Nealer, is a homemaker, a member of a card club, and a member of the church altar guild.
Mr. Monti retired in 1993 from General Motors in Lordstown, where he was a repairman on the final one line.
