Family dinner held in celebration of Scahills' jubilee

SALEM -- The home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Scahill, 2310 Oak St., was the setting March 7 as family members gathered for a dinner party at which the couple's 65th wedding anniversary was celebrated.
Hosts for the festivity were the couple's children and their spouses, Tom and Melody Scahill of Salem, John Scahill of Denver, and Kathleen and Dave Roberts of Cincinnati. Also participating were their six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Scahill and the former Betty Gaut were united in marriage March 7, 1942, in Indiantown Gap, Pa. They are members of St. Paul Church.
Mr. Scahill is a World War II veteran.
